With Woolworths closing down after Christmas, Leominster Town Council is keen to keep on eye on developments at the prominent Corn Square site.
When news broke that the familiar high street business was a victim of the economic downturn, the council pledged its support to the local branch.
But since an announcement that Woolies was to close at the start of the New Year, Councillor Eddie Clark said it was important to monitor the situation.
“We want to make sure it’s replaced with something that’s compatible, and has the same professionalism as Woolworths,” he said.
