Collectors of antiques will be hot-footing it to Leominster next year when a new regular market begins.
Herefordshire Council’s markets, fairs and street trading service is to introduce an Antiques and Collectables Market in Corn Square in the spring.
The market will initially operate alongside the established Spring Garden Fairs on April 7, May 12, and June 2 and 30.
The Antiques and Collectable Market will then continue to operate on its own on a monthly basis on July 14, August 11 and September 8.
Depending on the success of these events, the market could continue until Christmas on October 13, November 10 and December 8.
Said cabinet member for markets, fairs and street trading, Councillor John Jarvis: “The Antiques and Collectables’ Markets have been run in Hereford for two years, and in Ross-on-Wye this year, with resounding success.
“I believe Leominster will benefit from an additional monthly attraction, particularly town businesses.”
New traders are always welcome and anyone interested should contact Elaine Hawkins on 01432 260095.
