Police have ended their hunt for a missing woman in woodland at Dinmore Hill after the discovery of a body last week.
An appeal for information about 47-year-old Caroline Rickards from Kent (above) , who was believed to have been in the Leominster area where she had relatives, was launched after she had been reported missing for two days.
The popular walking area was screened off while officers conducted their search around Queenswood Country Park visitor centre.
A spokesperson confirmed that officers had discovered the body of a woman in the area of the visitor centre on Thursday last week. Formal identification and a post mortem examination was expected to be carried out on Friday.
Police have issued thanks to the media for help in mounting an appeal to find the missing woman.
