Plans for this autumn’s training schedule at Bromyard’s HOPE Family Centre are alre-ady being put together as staff prepare to deliver their most ambitious and innovative range of courses to date.
The Centre, which is located on Bromyard’s Hereford Road, is arguably one of the best learning facilities in the county, boasting a fully-equipped training room complete with IT equipment and a conference and meeting area.
HOPE has already established itself as a beacon for learning and development for children and adults, while the courses are designed with social issues in mind.
Their latest learning programme will encompass a “Goodness” Project a course funded by the PCT and aimed at promoting healthy living in the community.
HOPE Training Manager Frances Davison said: “This is an exciting course centred around healthy living. It will run from October to December with a fresh course starting in January. The idea will be to involve the whole family in learning about ways to lead a healthy lifestyle.”
Younger entrants can undertake specially designed cookery sessions with parents while older students can improve their culinary skills at evening cookery sessions at the Queen Humanities College.
Other courses planned include a gardening workshop, educational visits as well as six-week IT and Digital Photography programmes
Meanwhile, the centre’s popular basic skills courses in Numeracy, Literacy and the English Language will return with their usual free childcare facilities.
The centre is holding a training open day at HOPE on September 1 between 10am and 7pm, for more information or to enrol contact Frances or Lynne on 01885 488495.
